Meet Fabian ↗WHY SHORT BREAKS MATTER
Research shows that regularly interrupting prolonged sitting with short movement breaks can support health and well-being. Studies have found benefits for blood sugar after meals, blood pressure, mood, and perceived energy—even with breaks lasting just a few minutes. How often you move and what you do during the break both matter.
Our 10–20-minute guided movement breaks and 45-minute fitness classes help your team build movement into the workday. We also encourage brief, regular movement between sessions, so activity becomes a daily habit.
In a study of 211 university employees over 15 working days, three-minute breaks from sitting led to small improvements in mood and perceived energy. The research tested standing and walking breaks in everyday life.
Read the KIT study ↗In a laboratory study of 11 middle-aged and older adults, five minutes of light walking every 30 minutes reduced the blood sugar response to meals compared with uninterrupted sitting. All four walking-break schedules tested also lowered systolic blood pressure during the study day.
Read the study ↗In a study of 29 adults, 88% found four three-minute bodyweight exercise breaks per day acceptable—more than the schedules with eight or sixteen breaks. Concentration and decision-making ratings also improved from the start to the end of the exercise-break week.
